Jennifer Caplin, D.M.D., M.S.

Dr. Caplin grew up in Chicago, IL. She received her BS in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, her D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, and her Certificate in Orthodontics and M.S. in Oral Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago. After dental school, she spent a year in Shanghai, China volunteering as a dentist for migrant children. She worked as a private practice orthodontist in Bethlehem, PA before returning to the University of Illinois at Chicago to serve as a full-time faculty member and the Associate Director of Post-Graduate Orthodontics. She then moved to New York University to become the Program Director of the Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Department. She is currently loving living in Maine. Her research interests include access to care and the genetics of malocclusion. In her free time, Dr. Caplin reads excessively, loves traveling, and practices martial arts.
